Susan's Coronation Dress

After months of 39% work and 61% procrastination, I am pleased to announce that I am finally finished with my Susan Coronation Dress from Prince Caspian. Without further adieu, some lame dressform pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Baaa daaanngg. I'll have you know that I am stinkin' happy it's stinkin' done. Also, it might be helpful to note that I was working with pure speculation for the skirt... so if it's not all what the real skirt looks like (or what you think it looks like), I'm sorry. I was working with one clear picture and several not-so-clear-in-fact-quite-fuzzy-pictures on this one.

I poured a lot of detail work into that bodice. Check out the embroidery, the slashing, the separated sleeves...

Though it was a lot of work, I am so happy with the results.

 Le back with metal eyelets...

...and a detail shot of the underskirt train.

As to this dresses' future, I am not certain where it will end up or what I will be doing with it. I want to wear it to at least ONE event (doesn't matter what it is) and then I'll be listing it on my Etsy shop. But we'll see.

Oh, and these aren't the only pictures you'll be getting of this one. I plan on doing a wintery photoshoot (similar to this one) with this lovely!

  1. AMAZING,Marlene!
I can't wait to see you in it!
